NORTH OF THE ARCTIC CIRCLE
We have in store a true Arctic adventure with challenges of the winter: trekking to the northernmost place in continental Europe—Cape Kinnarodden. We shall reach the Barents Sea and the northernmost beach in Europe hiking through the tundra and trekking the cliffs, using snowshoes and the equipment loaded on the sledges. We shall sleep in tents, but each time we will have to build snow walls in order to have proper protection from the wind. We shall use snow for getting water that is needed to prepare food.
We shall arrive at Cape Nordkinn (also known as Kinnarodden) by February 23! This is an ideal time and place for real men and their female comrades-in-arms!
Duration: 8 days
Initial meeting place:
Group consists of 4-10 people
Price per person: 1800 EUR
Club discount - 7%
Early in the morning we shall depart from Murmansk towards Norway.
We are getting on the trail leading us toward Europe’s northernmost continental point which is 24 kilometers away from the village.
Continuing our trek northward we arrive at Kinaroddsandfjorden, the northernmost beach of the continent. Here we shall see white sand, white snow and white ice.
A new day, a new hike, new and unforgettable landscapes, a new rush of adrenalin. And here it is, at last: Nordkinn, the northernmost cape of our European continent.
We shall spend the whole day at Europe’s northernmost beach.
One more trek and we arrive in Mehamn, in a warm, preheated house that we already know.
Getting into a station wagon, we shall take a ride back home across snowed-over roads of Northern Norway.
Prior to our departure from Murmansk, we shall go for a walk around the city.
