Description
Sahara – it is a sea of sand, black rocks, dried-up rivers called wadi. For many hundreds of years this was a home for Berber tribes who built ksar fortresses using adobe, who dug deep wells along the caravan routes, who grew wheat and dates in the oases.
We shall depart for Mauritania, a country which territory is almost fully covered by the sand dunes of the Sahara. Reaching Adrar Region from Nouakchott, Mauritania’s capital, we shall find ourselves in the middle of this country and join a camel caravan going south. We shall experience over 200 kilometers of real desert where nothing will remind us of today’s modern civilization.
We shall get on a trip to a fairy-tale country where time has stopped, where distance is measured in getting from one water source to another and where human life depends on the life of his camel. A Real Big Adventure is awaiting us!
