Treking in South Ossetia

Vladikavkaz - Rokkski tunnel - Keli plateau - Keli Lake - Tsiteli-khati lakes - Keli Pass - Upper Baghiati - Leningor - Tskhinval - Tyr monastery - Vladikavkaz
We shall cross the Caucasian mountain range and ride through the Rokski tunnel arriving in the Republic of South Ossetia where our goal will be the Keli plateau, a hidden gem of this mountainous area. One can find high altitude lakes there, filled with crystal-clear water, surrounded by alpine meadows and snow-capped peaks. Humans rarely visit this area, and no tourists have come here for almost 30 years. After our trip we shall visit some of Ossetia’s ancient churches and witness the destruction left behind by the war that raged here recently. We shall also walk through unpretentious streets of Tskhinval, South Ossetia’s capital.

Minors (under 18 years of age) get a 15% discount only if they take the trip with a parent.
